The Commercial Employee EFZ apprenticeship lasts three years. During this time, you’ll get to know different departments and gain broad insight into the day to day operations of an international company.

Sales Support & Export: In sales support and export, you’ll gain insight into the processing of customer orders and shipping preparation. You’ll learn how orders are entered, deliveries are coordinated and shipping documents are prepared to meet different requirements.
Reception & Travel Management: In reception and travel management, you’ll learn the importance of making a positive first impression. You’ll welcome visitors, operate the switchboard and support the organisation of business trips and events, as well as a variety of administrative tasks in day to day operations.
Finance: In the finance department, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of numbers and gain an understanding of the processes that take place behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include recording and posting invoices, preparing payments, and supporting activities related to cash management, banking and month-end closing procedures.
Purchasing & Supply Chain Management: In purchasing and supply chain management, you’ll gain insight into supplier management, master data maintenance and the procurement of components for production. You’ll also learn how supplier orders, supplier invoices and production planning are connected and work together.

Fabio is responsible for all vocational education and training at Oertli. As the vocational trainer for Commercial Employees EFZ, he will support you throughout your entire apprenticeship and serve as your main point of contact for any questions relating to your training.
Fabio lives in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, is married and the father of three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is an active member of a local football club.
