From proven easyPhaco technology and high-frequency capsulorhexis to anterior vitrectomy – unleash the full potential of Oertli’ CataRhex 3 and Faros anterior. Our surgical platforms cover all phaco applications in cataract surgery.
Bipolar diathermy: The bipolar diathermy function in the Oertli surgical platforms offer a range of applications such as the unique capsulotomy and diathermy forceps.
Phacoemulsification: The easyPhaco technology is developed for safe and efficient phacoemulsification. It is characterised by magnet-like attraction of lens fragments, strong holdability and a stable anterior chamber4.
Anterior vitrectomy: All surgery platforms from Oertli feature a cutter connection, enabling anterior vitrectomy can be done. The CataRhex 3 and Faros anterior also come with an integrated air compressor.
«Ease of use in all grades of cataracts is my requirement for high volume cataract surgery. Only Oertli phaco machines fulfill this criterion and I’m proud to be an Oertli owner.»D1

Since its launch in 1991, high-frequency capsulotomy has been used as an alternative method for opening the lens capsule. Using high-frequency energy, the capsular bag can be cut open without the usual tearing with forceps or needles. It is sufficient to gently slide the capsulotomy tip over the tissue, even under the iris, while applying the diathermy energy.
HF capsulotomy is suitable for selected indications such as lack of fundus reflex, hypermature cataract, traumatic cataract, intumescent cataract and juvenile cataract*.
The easyPhaco technology is developed for safe and efficient phacoemulsification. It is characterised by magnet-like attraction of lens fragments, strong holdability and a stable anterior chamber4.
The Quick Tips with Safety Design feature a long shaft for subincisional access. The small aspiration port enables rapid occludability for a stable anterior chamber, while its strategic position prevents unintended grasping of the capsular bag.
«I find the surgical platforms to be a class apart in the management of both hard and soft cataracts. The chamber stability is solid, and the bent I/A tip eliminated the need for any additional incisions for bimanual I/A. Personally, I am very happy with the machine and would recommend it to both beginners and experts alike while considering the safety profile and the speed at which it helps you complete the surgery.»D1

Oertli's surgical platforms enable finely controlled, direct dosing of high-frequency energy. Both the handpiece and the tips are made from high-quality titanium and can be reused. Thanks to a simple plug-in system, tips can be changed easily on the handpiece.
